Organizational or Organization Charts
One of the first things a prospective buyer of a medium to large sized business wants to see is the seller's organizational chart so they can better evaluate the business. Sellers are well served if they can provide prospective buyers with an organizational chart at an early date. An organizational chart is a diagram that visually shows a company's internal structure by providing the roles, responsibilities, and relationships between managers and departments within a business.
Most organizational charts are hierarchical charts showing top management at the top and lower-level employees beneath them. An organizational chart should visually show what the hierarchical status of each employee is relative to the other employees within the company.
